New CSOL for 482 and 186 visas
Big changes are coming to Australia's skilled worker visa program. The government's new plan, called the Skills in Demand (SID) visa, will replace the old Temporary Skills Shortage - TSS (subclass 482) visa. This new system is designed to attract the best and brightest workers to fill skills shortages across the country.

What's Different About the SID Visa?
The SID visa is divided into three main categories:
- High-Skill, High-Wage Jobs - "Specialist Skills Pathway" (SSP): This category is for jobs that pay really well (above $130,000 base per year) and require advanced skills. Think of it as the "executive" level of skilled work. Note, that machinery operators, drivers and labourers are excluded
- Medium-Skill Jobs "Core Skills Pathway" (CSP): This category covers a wide range of occupations that are still in demand, but don't necessarily require the same level of expertise as the high-skill category.
- Essential Skills Pathway (ESP): This category is for jobs that are crucial to the Australian economy, even if they don't pay as well or require as much skill as the other two categories.

What This Means for You
If you're a skilled worker looking to come to Australia, it's important to stay up-to-date on the latest changes to the immigration system.
