Meet Alex Kay / Principal Lawyer at Immigroo
Alex Kay’s path to becoming a migration lawyer in Australia is shaped by culture, adventure, and dedication. Growing up in Central Asia near the borders of Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Russia, and China, he was immersed in diverse languages and traditions.
Before becoming a lawyer, Alex worked as a journalist, known for his strong storytelling and careful fact-checking. This experience helps him prepare clear, compelling legal submissions for his clients. He later moved into sports management, specialising in adventure racing and introducing zorbing to enthusiasts worldwide.
In 2008, Alex migrated to Australia on a student visa to pursue a Master of Business in Sports Management, settling with his family on the Gold Coast. He built a successful career in the amusement industry before earning a Bachelor of Laws and becoming a lawyer of the Supreme Court of Queensland in 2020.
Following Australian trends, Alex focused on migration law, founding Immigroo after working at a mid-tier law firm. Also, he works with local community organisations, providing free support to those in need.
